ROADS

8,947 km (5,560 mi) of roads connect Merida, the state capital, to central Mexico through Campeche, and to the rest of the world, through Puerto Progreso which handles the greatest variety of cargo in the National Port System.

AIR

Merida, Yucatan, is home to the sixth largest airport in Mexico. The airport offers non-stop flights to four international and 16 domestic destinations. In 2019 alone, the airport moved 20,500 tons of cargo to domestic and international destinations. Companies that operate within the airport include Aeromexico Cargo, Estafeta, FedEx, UPS, DHL and Amerijet.

RAILWAYS

The state of Yucatan has 609 km (429 mi) of railways. These rail routes connect the peninsula to the Coatzacoalcos logistics hub, which in turns connects to Mexico City, Veracruz, Puebla, Queretaro and El Bajio, as well as strategic cities in the United States.

SEA

The port with the highest flow of shipping containers in southeast Mexico is located in Yucatan. In 2019, 153,319 TEUs were moved through Progreso.
